65% of International Business College's First Cohort of Graduates of Finance Undergraduate Program of Sino-foreign Cooperation Were Admitted to the World-Class Universities

Recently, according to the relevant statistics, 65% of our college's first cohort of graduates of finance undergraduate program of Sino-foreign Cooperation were admitted to the world-class universities with the post-graduate entrance rate of 67.5%.

21 of the first 40 graduates this year were spoken highly of by University of Aberdeen through a partnership agreement signed between the two universities to continue their studies for two years and completed their studies. Of all the graduates, 25 percent of the students qualified for the top 50 universities in the world rankings (according to the 2019 Times Higher Education World University Rankings), with Lin Kaixin being admitted to Johns Hopkins University, the first research university in the United States with 12th rankings in the world. Zhu Wei was admitted to London School of Economics, which was ranked 26th in the world, which is a G5 super elite university possesses the same reputation with Cambridge University and Oxford University. And 8 students were admitted to Edinburgh University, King's College London and the California University in San Diego. Forty-five percent of the students were admitted to the world's top 100 universities, and 65 percent were admitted to the world's top 200 universities.

 

As SCNU’s first program of Sino-foreign Cooperative School-Running approved by Ministry of Education. At the beginning of the program, under the strong support and guidance of the relevant departments of our university, International Business College and Business School of University of Aberdeen worked closely together to develop a talent training program aimed at developing international applied talents, learning from and absorbing the advantages of University of Aberdeen’s disciplines, and introducing quality courses. The two sides jointly formed an international teaching team, built a professional all-English curriculum system, and relied on the online open curriculum. The development of a mixed teaching mode combining online and offline has been formed, which has effectively improved the quality of teaching. In order to ensure the quality of education, the two sides set up joint management committee and teaching management committee, and regularly held the meetings to discuss and coordinate the solution of some problems. The quality of teaching was regularly appraised in the course of the program. And teaching quality of University of Aberdeen is assessed every two years as per the Quality Assessment System for Scottish Higher Education to ensure the education quality of this project. The achievements of financial majors in personnel training and teaching practice have won the first prizes of the ninth and tenth teaching achievements of our university. The program successfully passed the Ministry of Education’s assessment of education quality in 2018.

 

International Business College will continue to promote the program with international vision and standards to a new level in talent training so that more students have the opportunity to further their studies in world-class universities, making due efforts to train high-level international composite talents for our country's economic construction.
