The "Higher Education Internationalization Forum" was founded by Tongji University. It is a summit forum integrating domestic universities, relevant national administrative departments and foreign universities to conduct in-depth discussions on the process and issues of China's higher education internationalization. It was held at Tongji University in Shanghai from October 20 to 21, 2015. Dean Wu Jianli of our college was invited to participate in this forum and delivered a keynote speech on the experience of international construction in IBC.

The participating units of this forum included 32 different sectors from home and abroad. Among them, the representatives of the relevant national administrative and research departments were Li Zhimin, Director from the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education; Wang Yan, Director of the International Exchange Office from Chinese Academy of Educational Sciences; Xiong Jianhui, Associate Researcher of the National Center for Education Development Research; Yang Weiren, Director of the International Exchange Office of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission; Yang Yinfu and Ma Tao, Deputy Directors of the National Center for Education Development Research; and Zong Wa, Deputy Secretary-General of China Education Association for International Exchange, etc. Representatives of domestic universities include: Vice President Jiang Bo of Tongji University, Vice President Zhu Min from South China University of Technology, Vice President Ning Guiling from Dalian University of Technology, and Director Yan Yueqin of the International Evaluation Center of Southwest Jiaotong University. Foreign universities include The Australian National University, Hiroshima University in Japan, Baprodar State University in Kazakhstan, Queen's University in Canada, and Stenden University in the Netherlands.

The seminar on internationalization is divided into the following three topics: the first round of higher education internationalization trend and development; topic two: the innovation and practice of higher education internationalization strategy; topic three: challenges and measures of cross-border nationalization of school quality.

Dean Wu Jianli gave a speech entitled "Internationalization and Localization of Undergraduate Education in IBC of South China Normal University", sharing the work and experience gained by IBC in the internationalization of undergraduate education over the past 12 years. Generally speaking, the speech was highly recognized and well received by the participants. Some domestic universities have also shown preliminary cooperation intentions with some presented foreign universities.
